The Rebuilding Together Awards for Excellence are an opportunity to celebrate the mission and work of Rebuilding Together Affiliates throughout the affiliate network. These awards represent the outstanding examples of growth in our affiliate network and celebrate the three aspects of the mission statement:
Repairing Homes, Revitalizing Communities and Rebuilding Lives.
Nominees are recommended by the National Office’s Network Advancement Team with final selection made by the Senior Leadership Team. The winners will be announced at the Excellence Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 6.
Awards for Excellence in
Community Programming
The Excellence in Community Programming Award is presented to an affiliate that has demonstrated excellence in direct service initiatives to engage and serve neighbors. Recipients have developed impactful programs such as ramp-building initiatives, disaster response efforts, or other creative projects tailored to specific communities or regions.
Community Engagement - Collaboration
The Excellence in Collaboration Award recognizes an affiliate that has built strong, innovative partnerships with local organizations and residents to further our mission. Recipients have expanded their impact—particularly through community revitalization partnerships—by fostering collaboration with residents, corporate partners, volunteers, municipalities, nonprofits, foundations, and other stakeholders. Recipients demonstrate a coordinated, comprehensive approach to building safe, healthy, and thriving communities.
Overall Leadership
The Excellence in Overall Leadership Award celebrates an affiliate's outstanding leadership and organizational growth. Recipients have demonstrated excellence in areas such as fundraising, staff development, service delivery, board growth, and administrative improvements. Recipients set a high standard for leadership across the Rebuilding Together network.
Housing Access
The Excellence in Housing Access Award is presented to an affiliate that demonstrates a strong and consistent commitment to advancing housing access in their communities. Recipients actively engage in responsive practices, including listening to community members, elevating local voices, and building trust through comprehensive and systematic approaches. Recipients have developed solutions to address housing disparities and work to remove barriers faced by under-resourced communities. Through their actions, recipients highlight the critical role comprehensive policies play in ensuring access to safe and stable housing.
Commitment to Collective Impact
The Excellence in Commitment to Collective Impact Award is presented to an affiliate or person that exemplifies exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to collaboration across the Rebuilding Together network. Recipients have fostered a culture of cooperation, innovation, and mutual support—sharing resources and best practices to strengthen both local and national impact. Their efforts enhance the collective mission and embody the spirit of unity that defines Rebuilding Together.
